The Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is an association of Member businesses and organisations, governed by an elected Board comprising local business people. We are a not for profit, independent organisation originally founded by a group of Salisbury businesses in 1912
We are privileged to be hosting this special event on Thursday 27th February! Our “An Evening with Nick Jenkins” event will be a unique opportunity to hear directly from one of the most recognisable names in the business world.
Expect an engaging and insightful discussion as Nick shares his incredible journey from his early days studying Russian at Birmingham University and moving to Moscow as a commodity trader, to becoming the mastermind behind Moonpig.com. Launched in April 2000, Moonpig has revolutionised the way we send personalised cards, boasting over 35 million cards sold each year and a customer base of five million.
Since 2008, Nick has passionately invested in 28 start-ups, lending his expertise as a panellist on Dragons’ Den in 2015-16. Currently, he serves as the Chairman and largest shareholder of Virtualstock.com, an enterprise SaaS software business which provides drop shipping software to large retailers. Additionally, he’s a key player at Geotogether.com, focusing on sustainable energy management solutions in households nationwide.
While his focus is now on sustainable energy, last year he opened the South Wilts Ski Club, an indoor infinity ski slope in Bapton in the Wylye Valley where he lives.
Held in collaboration with Wiltshire Creative at The Salisbury Playhouse, this event promises to be inspirational, with drinks and canapés served to enhance your experience. Don’t miss your chance to gain valuable insights from Nick Jenkins, a true leader in business and sustainability.
Our membership is home to over 200 businesses in the Salisbury area and spans a variety of industry sectors and specialisms.
