Local accountants appoint new partners

The Salisbury office of chartered accountants and tax advisers, Moore Stephens South is delighted to announce the recent appointment of two new partners.

With effect from 1 April, Ann Mathias was appointed a partner.  Ann is no stranger to Moore Stephens having worked for them for 28 years.  Ann and her husband were looking for a lifestyle change and they wanted to move out of London.  Ann has extensive experience in a diverse number of charities and not-for-profit organisations.

In addition, one member of the local team, Robert Macdonald has been promoted to partner.  Robert joined the firm in February 2008 as a trainee accountant and qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant in June 2011.  Robert has a growing client base and is actively involved with the local Chamber of Commerce and is a co-opted trustee for an Academy in Salisbury.

Commenting on the appointments, Group Managing Partner Andrew Coldwell said:  “It is with great pleasure that I welcome Ann into the partnership as she will be a major asset to our team.  Her knowledge and expertise will help us continue to grow the education and not-for-profit sectors.

"Robert's promotion to partner reflects his hard work and accomplishments to date and is well deserved."

Ann Mathias said: "I am delighted to have joined the team at Moore Stephens South and am looking forward to working with my new colleagues, clients and contacts and growing my client portfolio."

Robert Macdonald added:   “I am very excited at my promotion to partner.  I am committed to providing a personal, partner-led and value-added service to each and every client.  I work with a wide range of owner-managed businesses and advise start-ups and businesses looking to grow.  I have considerable knowledge of the education sector and deal with many of the firm's audits."
